Anchored by Eric Whitacre’s When David Heard, a deeply moving work reflecting on loss and grief, the program also features Forgotten Warriors by Indigenous composer Russell Wallace. This powerful concert explores the human experience of conflict, bridging ancient and contemporary narratives, and aims to create a resonant and thought-provoking musical journey for the audience.

Beyond the Horizon: Transcendent Journeys invites audiences to explore the concept of travel—both physical and metaphysical. Featuring Eric Whitacre’s Leondardo Dreams of His Flying Machine, this concert explores travel through dreams and imagination, landscapes and time. Spiritus will share the stage with high school students from Western Canada High School and Forest Lawn High School.

Whispers in the Mirror: MUSICAL REFLECTIONS

Whispers in the Mirror: Musical Reflections brings together Spiritus Chamber Choir and the String Theory Music Collective in a unique collaboration that bridges Baroque and contemporary music. The concert will feature Johann Sebastian Bach’s double motet Singet dem Herrn, accompanied by Baroque strings, highlighting the intricate and reflective nature of Baroque music. Complementing this, the ensemble will perform Exaudi by Canadian composer Jocelyn Morlock, creating a dialogue between old and new.
